Description

In the wake of World War II and amidst a flurry of reported UFOs, the National Security Act was invoked in 1947 setting forth a policy of secrecy which has immersed the U.S. government ever since in a labyrinth of security and intrigue. No facility has remained as cloaked in this mystery as Brookhaven National Laboratory, the premier nuclear research facility in the world. Located on Long Island near the old Nazi compound at Yaphank, Brookhaven was selected for clandestine research known as the Phoenix Project which merged the investigation from the UFO crash at Roswell with that of the Philadelphia Experiment of 1943 in order to probe the unified field theory and secure practical applications of time travel. This is the real life story of Wade Gordon who as a young boy was tutored by the head of the Phoenix Project and introduced to a mysterious group known as 'Majestic-12', an above Top Secret faction of the government said to stand on the threshold of humanity's evolution.

Summary: "Interesting reading, but disappointing conclusion"

"The Brookhaven Connection" is about Wade Gordon's childhood and his unusual involvement at Brookhaven. Overall, this book is very much like an autobiography, but not a complete one, as the reader is "left hanging" in the middle of the most interesting part of the book. At the end of the book, it states that there might or might not be a second book to conclude the story.

The book contains several appendixes, which are copies of various documents. However, they are hard to read, as are many declassified government documents. I would have rather had the end of the story than the appendices.

Summary: "Insightful Reading"

Reading Mr. Gordon's account of childhood memories is interesting food for thought that perhaps there is more truth in all the "fictional" accounts about encounters/collaborations with extra terrestrial life forms that are ever-present in today's popular culture. Supported by remarkable pieces of evidence, this makes an interesting reading for anyone interested in UFOs, extra terrestrial encounters and conspiracy theories. I just have one minor point of criticism, though... the account breaks off in mid-climax. Come on, Mr. Gordon... give us more!...

Summary: "Open Minded"

I have read all the Pete Moon books and have enjoyed most of them. This is a possible true story. I don't take it for fact but there is nothing in there that makes me think it is 100% fiction. I hope there is a second on the Brookhaven subject. Lighten up and enjoy the story and maybe it is possible.
